Professor Dr. Mohammad Musharof Hossain is a distinguished Bangladeshi academic, biotechnologist, and researcher who serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU). Born on December 10, 1975, in Jamalpur, Dr. Hossain completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Botany from the University of Chittagong (CU), securing the top merit position in both, before earning his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Panjab University, India. He built a prestigious, decades-long academic career at the University of Chittagong, where he joined as a lecturer in 2003 and rose to the rank of Professor of Botany in 2015. Prior to his leadership appointment at JKKNIU by the Ministry of Education, he also served as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Jamalpur Science and Technology University. An accomplished scholar with over 50 research publications and 10 books to his name, his contributions to plant biotechnology have been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Young Scientist Gold Medal from the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences.
